CAT 2021 will have reduced number of questions as confirmed by CAT exam convener. CAT 2021 registration number has gone up to 2.31 lakhs from 2.28 lakhs last year. IIM Ahmedabad has shared this information in a media release on September 24, 2021. Check Key Highlights below



After Closure of CAT 2021 Registrations on September 22, the CAT Application Form Edit window is open from September 25 to 27, 2021. This year Srinagar (J&K) has been added as the new CAT 2021 exam centre. According to the CAT 2021 convener, Prof M P Ram Mohan, faculty at IIM Ahmedabad, the CAT exam on November 28, 2021 will be conducted in three slots with fewer questions than last year.

In the Media Release dated September 24, 2021, CAT 2021 exam convener Prof M P Ram Mohan & faculty at IIM Ahmedabad has shared important information and updates on CAT 2021 exam. Following are the key highlights as shared by CAT 2021 convener:

1.      CAT 2021 Registration Numbers Up: ‘Approximately 2.31 lakh candidates have registered successfully for CAT 2021’ Read More

4.      No Change in CAT 2021 Test Format: CAT 2021 Test Format remains same as last year, i.e. there will be three shifts of 2-hour examination comprising three sections: i) Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, ii) Quantitative Ability, and iii) Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. Read More

5.      Fixed Sectional Time Limit with Relaxation to PwD Candidates: Candidates will be given 40 minutes for each section, PwD candidates will get 13 minutes and 20 seconds extra for each section. Read More

6.      More Test Cities than Last Year: CAT 2021 will be conducted at more than 400 Test Centres, spread across 159 cities in India on November 28, 2021. Srinagar (J&K) is the new test city added for CAT 2021 exam.

CAT exam offers MBA admission opportunity in top MBA colleges in India including 20 IIMs, high RoI FMS Delhi, IITs, SPJIMR, MDI, IMI, JBIMS among more than 500 other top B-Schools. CAT exam preparation is based on the CAT syllabus which goes on changing every year with the change in CAT exam structure and content. Accordingly, after closure of CAT registration process, the most important activity is to focus on CAT exam preparation.   

Common Admission Test - CAT 2021 is the largest national level entrance test for MBA admission 2022 in IIMs and other top MBA colleges in India. The CAT 2021 exam date is November 28, 2021. One of the six older IIMs conducts CAT Exam on the basis of rotation. This year, IIM Ahmedabad is assigned the task of conducting CAT exam 2021. IIM Ahmedabad conducted the last CAT exam in 2015. XAT 2022: Exam Date (Jan 2), Registration Started, Pattern, Syllabus, Colleges

 

XAT 2022: Xavier Aptitude Test for Admission to XLRI & Top B-schools

XLRI will conduct XAT 2022 exam on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in a single session of 3 hours duration as a computer based test. XLRI will conduct XAT Entrance Exam 2022 for admission to its various PGDM 2022-24 programmes and for admission to more than 160 MBA colleges including XIMB, IMT, TAPMI, K J Somaiya among others. The Online Registration process for the exam has started on August 10, and will close on November 30, 2021. XAT 2022 exam Registration and application fee is Rs.1800/-.

 

XAT 2022 exam full form is Xavier Aptitude Test and the exam is one of the largest MBA Entrance Exams for Admission to XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB, TAPMI and 160+ MBA Colleges in India. Every year more than 1,00,000 candidates from all disciplines including Engineering, Commerce, Humanities, Science, Law apply and appear in this exam to get into the various MBA programs offered by these top B-schools. Over the years, Xavier Aptitude Test has become an easier test but to get a high percentile (90+) in this exam requires 4-5 months of serious preparation.

XLRI conducts XAT exam on behalf of XAMI. For more than 70 years XLRI is conducting this exam at all India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. XAT entrance exam notification was released on August 9, 2021 with key exam dates and complete schedule.  Last year also, despite Covid pandemic, XLRI conducted XAT exam as a centre based test in 72 cities in India.

What is XAT Exam?
XAT exam full form is Xavier Aptitude Test. It is the Admission Test for admission to MBA/PGDM programs in XLRI and other top MBA colleges like XIMB, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI Manipal and 160 other top MBA colleges in India. XLRI will offer admission to its Jamshedpur and Delhi campuses on the basis of this exam score only and will not accept any other test score. There are more than 70 cities and more than 100 venues where XAT 2022 exam will be conducted in India.

 

Important Changes in Exam Pattern
Following changes have been introduced in the Exam by XLRI:

·         XAT 2022 exam application fee increased to Rs.1800/-

·         The exam is now changed to a computer based test from paper based test

·         Single slot, single day exam

·         Test timing changed to 9.30AM to 12.30PM

·         Total questions increased to 100 from 99

·         No Essay Writing test

·         NAT Questions without negative marking introduced

·         All questions are of MCQ type

·         Question paper with 4 sections with different number of questions

·         The last section on GK with 25 questions is not counted for percentile calculation

·         Visually impaired candidates with scribe are given additional 25 minutes to solve Part 1 of  the exam

·         Marks for every correct answer : +1

·         ¼ Negative Marking for wrong answer

·         No Negative marking for General Knowledge section in part-2 of question paper

·         All the MCQ type questions have five options with one correct option
