 CAT Topper
CAT topper with 99.79 percentile and IIM Ahmedabad student of PGP 2017-19 batch, Chanchal Gupta is a fresher without work experience. She preferred self preparation instead of joining some coaching although she made it a point to join the CAT Mock test series offered by the coaching institute. Chanchal suggests to improve your accuracy level instead of trying to attempt more number of questions in CAT 2017 and ensure to analyse all the mock tests that you have taken.
Chanchal Gupta is from Indore and has done B.E. in Computer Engineering. Sharing her experience how she prepared for CAT exam, Chanchal advises the CAT 2017 aspirants to clarify all their doubts quickly. Apart from CAT exam, she did not appear in any other MBA entrance test.

CAT 2017 convener advises to complete your application early

 CAT 2017
Today September 25, is the last day for CAT 2017 registration and application submission online. The CAT 2017 has already surpassed huge registration figure and it is expected that a good number of candidates would register on this last day after the CAT registration date has been extended for 5 more days from September 20. It should be noted that CAT 2017 registration will end today at 5 PMIf you wish to get into any of the 20 IIMs or other top rated B-school like FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, IMI, IMT, NITIE, BIMTECH, TAPMI, Great lakes among others in 2018, there is no point waiting now, and it will be better to register and apply for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 immediately without keeping it delayed even for an hour on this last day.
The new CAT 2017 registration end date announced by IIM Lucknow to close registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 is September 25, 2017 after allowing a 5 day extended period to register for the largest MBA entrance test of India. Only few hours are left to finalise your CAT registration now.
Apply before 3PM today to avoid glitch
A great number of candidates has registered for CAT 2017 since September 20, and the heavy rush especially in the afternoon today could delay the registration process also. It may create some technical glitches, may slow down the CAT server response time which may cause your CAT registration fee payment getting stuck in transit.
CAT 2017 exam convener, Prof Neeraj Dwivedi has given the solution to avoid such a situation advising the CAT aspirants, “Candidates are advised to register and complete application at the earliest rather than waiting for the last date.”

The last date has arrived but many are there who still are waiting to apply for CAT 2017. It will be better if you finalise your CAT 2017 registration by 3PM today to avoid any technical glitch and delay as during afternoon CAT 2017 server may not be as quick as it has been and you may face technical problems during the process.

CAT 2017 Registration Last date extended to September 25

 CAT 2017
As predicted by MBAUniverse.com earlier, IIM Lucknow has extended the CAT 2017 registration last date to September 25, 2017. The CAT 2017 registration was scheduled to close today on September 20 at 5PM. MBAUniverse.com was the first to publish the anticipated extension in CAT 2017 registration last date.
IIM Lucknow accedes to CAT aspirants’request
The prime reason for the CAT 2017 registration date extension has been cited as the technical glitch due to which CAT aspirants are not able to finalise their CAT 2017 registration process and have requested the CAT 2017 exam convener to extend the CAT registration date.
CAT 2017 convener Prof Neeraj Dwivedi, while announcing the extension of CAT 2017 registration last date has shared the important announcement on CAT 2017 website, “The last date of registration has been extended to September 25, 2017 (5:00 pm). Candidates are advised to register and complete their applications well before this date. There will be no further extension.”
Past Trends in CAT registration last date extension
For the consecutive third year and following the last two years process, CAT 2017 Registration and application last date has been extended for 5 more days by IIM Lucknow till September 25, from earlier September 20, 2017.
Now the candidates who could not register in time or are facing technical glitches while completing their registration process, may relax and finalise their CAT 2017 registration process in next 5 days. Please however, note that the extended time for CAT 2017 registration stands only upto 5PM on September 25.
Since 2014, it has become a yearly practice followed by CAT convening IIMs to extend or reopen the CAT registration for few more days. IIM Indore, the CAT 2014 convener reopened the CAT registration after the last date; IIM Ahmedabad, the CAT 2015 convener extended the CAT last date to apply; IIM Bangalore, the CAT 2016 convener also extended the CAT registration date by 5 days.

Will CAT 2017 registration date be extended?

 CAT 2017
IIM Lucknow has not announced any extension in the CAT 2017 registration last date which is scheduled to close today on September 20, 2017 at 5PM. Since it is the last day for CAT 2017 registration and is also your last chance to apply to IIM admission 2018, you need to finalize your CAT 2017 registration before 5PM despite all the odds including any technical glitches.
CAT aspirants raising query…
On the other hand, CAT 2017 aspirants are raising their query whether there is any possibility of IIM Lucknow extending the CAT 2017 registration last date for few more days. So far the CAT 2017 convener Prof Neeraj Dwivedi, faculty and admission chair at IIM Lucknow, has not responded to this query. Although it is difficult to predict now whether the CAT 2017 registration last date would be extended, the past trends of last few years speak of a different story.
IIMs extended CAT Registration date in past: Last 3 years trends
Going by the last 3 years trends in CAT registration dates, it can be predicted that the CAT 2017 last date to apply can be extended by 4-5 days by IIM Lucknow. In fact, prior to the CAT year 2014, the CAT registration last date was seldom extended.
But, with the take-over of CAT exam by TCS from Prometric in 2014, it has become a yearly practice followed by CAT convening IIMs to extend or reopen the CAT registration for few more days. IIM Indore, the CAT 2014 convener reopened the CAT registration after the last date; IIM Ahmedabad, the CAT 2015 convener extended the CAT last date to apply; IIM Bangalore, the CAT 2016 convener also extended the CAT registration date by 5 days.
